Metal Sculpture Filipino Style

In the Philippines the carabao (water buffalo) is an iconic site. I remember during my younger days going to the hacienda and seeing the farmers with the carabao.

This metal sculpture was created in 2007. It is a type of junk art metal sculpture. It uses any scraps of metal that is available. Welding, cutting, hammering and annealing are just some of the techniques that were used.

Repurposing a Vintage Bag Into Art

I am an avid vintage shopper as I resell much of the merchandise that I source. There are times when a vintage piece is to special to part with.

This bag is made in the USA. It is circa 1950s. It is colored with permanent marker and sprayed with fixatif shine.

My children and I collaborated together to create wearable art.
